Thinc Iowa: Giving Startups their Staying Power

When you think of a startup, you don’t think of a glossy 40-story building packed full of suit-wearing salary-earners. Instead, it’s pretty easy to conjure up an image of a rented loft packed full with two employees and leftover pizza boxes and Jimmy Johns receipts. Startups are small; it takes a lot of hard work, commitment, and pure luck to be successful in this economy. So in an attempt to help Midwestern startups shine, there’s ThincIowa–the first major meeting for businesses of all sizes focused on development, occurring in Des Moines, Iowa October 20-21.
